The blogging sphere is a welcoming community, for the most part. But it’s always nice when you have someone you can chat stats with and share victories and defeats with, as well as stories. I’m lucky that I have that right in my family group chat: my fellow blogging brother. His blogging vocation is sliiiiightly different from mine, but on rare occasions, we in the fiction world get the gift of a companion story from him. I’m calling them Companion Stories because they aren’t sequels or fan fiction (though I have been tempted to make some of his ideas canon) as they’re more like… buddies to my stories. And I think he does a really cool job of mirroring the theme/feeling while trekking a different path of the storyline.
